The colors fly by outside my window as we drive down the road. I find it amazing that when leaves die they become beautiful and bright. The car stops and I look around. Eleven years in the same old town. I know every nook and cranny. I've seen every building and I've heard every sound. I've eaten at every restaurant and I've smelled every ounce of pollution. I've even felt every emotion this small town can bring out in a person.

But as the car slows to a stop, I have a vision. A vision of a place thats bright and alive. Where no one judges you. Where no one automatically gatergorizes you on your race, size, sex, or age. Where I can be me. Where I don't have to worry about hiding my imperfections. A place where the only thing that matters is your ability to carry a conversation with a complete stranger. Or the fact that you can act on impulse. I want to see a place where I can be free and alive.

I don't know if such a place exists. Mainly, because I've never left America. Ironically, this being "The Land of the Free", I don't feel so free. I feel trapped. I feel like I'm being suffocated by all of the issues that we expect one man to fix. We bitch and complain like its going out of style but none of us stand up and do anything about it. Hell, most of don't even have opinions of our own.

But I am willing to bet my life, that if you woke up one morning, somewhere different. Somewhere you've never even dreamed of being, that you would see everything in your life differently. You'd meet people who have honest, moral views on life. Who live their life the way they want to, not the way that society makes them think they have to. These are the people that just enjoy living. These are the people I want to know.

The car jerked back into motion and my thoughts where brought back to reality. Only seconds have passed but in those few moments I made a decision. I won't waste my life here. I want to see the world. I want to go everywhere. From Canada to Indonesia, from Ireland to Tokyo. I want to see the most populated cities of the world and the most dense parts of the jungle. I want to experience something outstanding, lavish and breathtaking. I want a life experience that I can call my own.
